So I have attempted it before but it never really worked out all that well. Now thanks to the grey knights (which my pre-order codex and pack of marines arrived today woo!) I can finally make a half decent plastic librarian.

They say variety is the spice of life, well I have to say I'm pretty damn bored of painting standard marines. It was a good run, got a fair few done however I need a break and as such its time to paint my first ever Blood Angels tank my Land raider crusader with Forgeworld doors.

With the release of the GK coded on the horizon it was requested that our character battle champion the Sanguinor takes on a few more of the grey knight’s big nasties. With him having already slaughtered the best of their HQ, the only thing left really are the various ultra cheese units available, Dread Knight was asked for so here it is.

So I recently got my hands on a copy of the Grey Knights codex and after I finished whimpering in a corner about the sheer cheesy beardy bentness of it all I decided to put our champion the Sanguinor up against the Grey Knights big expensive Lord, Kaldor Draigo.

First of all apologies for the long time since my last post, life and work have been a bit hectic and not much painting has got done lately, however as I have had some free time today, here is my first attempt at a Thunder hammer + Storm Shield Terminator.

I never had the biggest Chaos Daemons army. Only 20 or so blood letters and the same number of plaguebearers, 6 flamers and some pink horrors plus daemonettes thrown in. Combined with the daemon princes of my chaos space marines army and a great unclean one/blood thirster I got off ebay, it spend most games with counts as units standing in as fiends and such that I could never be bothered to buy.....

So this is the step by step process of how I paint my marines, featuring bob, the flamer assault marine. The process took a few hours and is of course by no means anything more than glorified tabletop quality but I like to think looks decent enough even though its not quite as good as most of the other models I have done recently, I hope im not getting worse, probably just lazy.

So they are finally here on advance order and look fantastic as expected, I can see games workshop selling a fair few of these models just to be painted, converted and kitbashed nevermind for thier ultra cheesy new codex which will sell them in truck loads. Pictures after the jump!

Basic Tutorial here for you, how to magnetise your Blood Angel assault squads so that they can be both jump infantry and swoop down in some DOA action as well as ride around in those razorbacks the interwebs love so much, without having to create different models for each job. In addition to this they are much easier to paint without their packs on.

Recent I have started including Missile Devastator's in my BA DOA list, as a rear support firebase. They have done fairly well most of the time too either drawing fire away from the troops that fly in later or just nuking the hell out of things, sure sometimes they die but for their bargain price they have made it into my list to the point where the deserve to be painted.

Well, it has been a fun journey but with this post we come to the end of the 40k Project Character Battle. Today’s final elite matches that will feature The Nightbringer vs The Sanguinor and Abbadon vs The Swarmlord will see a champion finally named out of the 220+ points bracket, joining Eldrad in ultimate glory!
Tuesday, 1 March 2011
Today’s penultimate games first of all feature The Nightbringer vs the Swarmlord. Neither one of these combatants mess around and there is a fair chance the Swarmlord may well instant death kill the Nightbringer if he gets a wound through.
